When using "Save and Send" from Excel 2010, the email opens with no ribbons and seems to hang.

Office 2010 32bit on Windows 7 x64

When the user uses "Save and Send" and then "Send as Attachment", the outlook email does open, but it doesn't load any ribbons, and the email itself hangs.

I didn't see anything specific in the logs. There is one plugin (for our DMS) that is used across the firm that I am going to try to disable (waiting for access). Otherwise, its a pretty standard setup.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Which version of Office are you using? Is your Outlook a stand-alone version?

Does this issue happen with all users or a certain one?

Do you have Outlook open when using "Save and Send"? If not, please try open Outlook first and then test the issue again.

In addition, we may also try to clear the Outlook Secure Temporary File folder (which is used to store Outlook attachment cache) to see if it helps. By default, we can find the Secure Temporary File folder path from the OutlookSecureTempFolder registry entry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security

Copy the path from the OutlookSecureTempFolder registry entry and then past it to Explorer. Then, clear everything in the folder and then test the issue again.
